George Floyd and The Violence of Change

In the wake of George Floyd being publicly murdered by an officer while other officers stood by and watched, I woke up to the expected swarms of white people swinging at anyone who questions or condemns an officers excessive use of force. I’m not sure why we have to clarify this, but if an officer can’t keep their cool to do their job safely, they shouldn’t be in that job. If they purposefully want to hurt people or think certain people are intrinsically “bad,” they certainly shouldn’t be given a gun and a badge. Period.
